The Toulouse Branch of the Royal Aeronautical Society

Located in the southwest corner of France close to the Pyrenees Mountains not far from the Spanish border is the city of Toulouse. The city has a long history, tracing its origins to before the time of the Romans.


Today Toulouse is a vibrant university city and at the centre what has become known as Aerospace Valley.

Aerospace Valley is a cluster of over 1,300 establishments involved in space, aeronautics and embedded systems, employing over 94,000 people.

With such a large concentration of aerospace professionals in this part of France, it's appropriate that the Royal Aeronautical Society should be represented in this region.


The Toulouse Branch was founded in 1991 with Gordon Corps, ex Airbus Chief Test Pilot as chairman and Bill Ford as Honorary Secretary.
